How to Participate in the Preparation of the 2010-2020 Forest Management Plan for the Sudbury Forest

This is the first Forest Management Plan (FMP) prepared on the Sudbury Forest using the new 10-year planning period. The current 2005-2010 FMP is a five-year operational plan with some 20-year strategic direction.

Public Consultation for the new 10 year period will be in two phases. Phase 1 covers detailed operations for the first 5-year term and preferred areas for the second 5-year term. Phase 2 covers detailed operations for the second five year term with consultation beginning in the last year of the first five year term. The bulk of the opportunity for input into plan direction is in Phase 1.

Phase I – First 5-Year Term, 2010 to 2015

4) Second Information Centre – Review of Draft FMP	Public to review and comment on draft plan and MNR’s preliminary list of required alterations.	Public Information Centre at local hotel. Phase II – Second 5-Year Term, 2015 to 2020

A written response will be sent for every submission received, so it is necessary for you to include your full name and postal address. All complete submissions become part of the FMP documentation with personal information omitted as required by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
